Sunshine + Yoga = Happy Heart

This sunshine makes my heart so happy. It's almost as if I feel a little lighter and can breathe a little deeper. Shedding some of the heavy winter layers off, no more big heavy coat, gloves, hat, scarf, insulated boots.....no wonder I am feeling lighter :)

I know there may be a few cold days where I need to bundle up again, but there's a sense of freedom in knowing that I can let those layers go. I also look at this time as a good opportunity to let some of my emotional layers go that may have built up over the winter. We tend to be more sedentary when it's cold outside both physically and mentally, which gives our body and mind a season to rest and restore, which is so important and needed.

And.......Now is the season to shake it off and let go!

Yoga and meditation are the perfect opportunities to do just that. In our yoga classes we allow our bodies to move through poses and breathe, which help us to let go and release stress physically. In our meditations we work through the layers of stress, worry, and mental blocks, which allow us to feel a little more freedom and ease mentally.
